Perhaps, but there are ways and there are ways.  Much as one can 
persuade a casual acquaintance into bed or drug their drink.  Bear in 
mind the target audience in the latest example given in the Media Watch 
report.  It could be argued that the advertising industry has developed 
into such an abomination that it warrants orders of magnitude more 
regulation, if not an outright ban.

Think of it: a world without advertising.  Ah, the tranquillity!
