We are already seeing similar things here in Victoria along the Lakes 
Entrance coastline. Building permits have been denied. There has 
already been some amazing high tide flooding. Coastal erosion is also 
already happening around the country. Keep in mind, two of our 
largest cities are at sea level, as are most of our cap cities.
