Clicking on the link in my original post, then clicking 'reload" just to be sure, indicates the article is still there.  I wonder what's going on...?

However a preface has now been added "Note: The following blog was posted on the morning of April 1, 2009 as an April Fool's joke."  I believe April Fool jokes are only supposed to happen AM.
