And won't they have fun when some student loads this really cool software he's found somewhere and the virus spreads all over the LAN in moments?

Provision of laptops will also provide de facto recognition that students can prepare work electronically.  So laptop crashes, file loss, or unavailability will begin to impact academically, complicating the work of teachers.

I wonder if servers, backup facilities, etc. are included?
