This is just reflective of Google increasingly running its own
world wide network. Many academic and research networks have
run NDT and NPAD servers for a long time. This especially includes
AARNet, as the long latencies to Australia very greatly accentuate
performance issues. We very much supported the NSF grant application
which funded Pittsburgh Supercomputer Center's development of NDT.
