Not that this would have helped. He sent 000 calls before the trip was  
due to be completed. And there was nothing intrinsically wrong with  
the intended route.

Procedures for DofE trips have now changed (prior to this inquest). A  
supervisor is required to shadow parties involved on trips of more  
than 3 days.
