[LINK] purl.org needs purls

This is too good not to share, especially on a mailing list called, um, LINK.

This site:

     http://purl.org/

is the home of the Persistent URL.

Great idea, of course.

There is even a sterling example of the need, in the form of this link
on purl.org's home page. To quote:

    Create your <a href="http://purl.org/getting_started.html">first</a> PURL

If visited, this link results in an HTTP 404.

Can anyone spell I-R-O-N-Y?
