I've always wondered why spending a fortune on computerising medical  
records will be so good, myself.
Sure, the geek in me salivates over the technicalities of the process,  
but that doesn't mean I see end-run benefits to the process, against  
the cost.

I sometimes wonder if future historians won't blame 'the fall of  
20th-21st century civilisation' on initiatives like this. :)
