My brother-in-law tells me he has a sure fire way of getting to a human.
Just shout "fuck off!" into the phone. He says it usually takes only
three or four shouts and he's transferred.

I told him that saying nothing and pressing no keys would probably have
the same effect, maybe even quicker, but he says he is entirely
satisfied with his method :-)

He says he has only accidentally shouted at a real person once or twice.
In each case he apologised and told them he had been shouting at the
machine, not at the person, and every time they seemed to understand
completely. Now *that's* good training.
