The book actually uses the figure of 25% saving in CO2 emmissions by the
use of ICT (from a study by the climate group). The PM quoted a more
conservative figure of 5% just from broadband. I am not sure where this
came from and was not game to ask him (he was sitting just in front of me).

In the book I cite a Japanese study on energy saving from online

The Gov2.2 Taskforce chair is addressing the conferecne at the momnent.
He is having difficulty getting the government to make its own content
available freely online, let along telling anyone else to make theirs
available.
