There's that famous phrase:

"You can lead a person to a methodology, but you cannot make them think!"

Blind adherence to methodology doesn't save anything. I've seen it all too
often in a number of oursourcers *and* their clients. It gets even worse
when the methodology becomes the focus of all work rather than a guide to
getting the real work done.
