1. The risk of unauthorised installation of software on an
unattended phone is one of several aspects mentioned.
2. That risk is compounded by the power of self-reporting of location.
If you don't see that as an additional security or privacy risk, I
for one wouldn't be hiring your services in that area!

(Interestingly, the first general media outlet that turned up on my
doorstep earlier today was The West Australian, which isn't usually
one of the more techno-aware ones).
