Interesting counter point would be if school kids get Linux/open office they
might not view the effort to learn MS products worth the bother, when they
can just download the software they have become familiar with.
I also like the implicit acknowledgment that there is more benefit with open
software, but the retraining is a hassle. So by extension kids coming into
school would be best served with using OSS from the get go, to realise the
benefits admitted by Microsoft.
