The Australian Information Industry Association (AIIA), with
Computers Off Australia and the Australian Computer Society are
coordinating the provision of free computers to Victorian bushfire
areas. ICT companies have been asked to register support the AIIA
website <http://aiia.com.au/newsmedia_detailed.aspx?ID=102>.

Unfortunately when I went to register my company, the site returned
"404 Not Found" (it is working today).

There are some things which ICT can do to help those effected by
bushfires. But many of these require years of planning and
implementation. As example is Bushfire warning
systems <http://www.tomw.net.au/blog/2009/02/bushfire-warning-systems.html>.
