I was actually being facetious Glenn, however there are explanations and 
I guess it starts with windows 3.5/51 as being the start of the current 
approach to versioning, where NT 4 /windows 2000 were version 4 and XP 
version 5, Vista version 6 therefore the 'NBT' is obviously windows 7 
which by the time it reaches a desktop near you will be given a fancy 
name hmm perhaps windows ultimate? ;) ;)

as to what happened before win nt 3/3.5/3.51 who knows but the 
versioning was always based on the core code and not the desktop ie not 
win95, win98, winme, etc.
