AN ESTIMATED 3 million American households will lose their television 
reception this weekend as the US makes the switch to digital TV.

The US is one of the first countries to make the full transition from 
analog TV to digital broadcasts.

"Anyone who thinks there will be another delay had better wake up and 
smell the converter box," he warned.
