Do they know about SSH tunneling and so on over there?

There's a lot you can do with SSH so long as you can get a login shell 
in another country.  Email over SSH is not only possible 
but practical and very hard to snoop.

What is missing is guerilla IT people setting up stuff like this 
in the west to allow dissenters to get their message out or info 
back over reasonably secure and hard to trace connections... 
...unless I am mistaken?
