You know, they re-wrote that usage meter a while back, and it's never been
quite the same since.

Having said that, there's a number of things that can cause these issues.
Especially when they meter data being delivered to your modem. If your modem
does something with it, then all is well and good, but if it does something
else, like reject it or even not process it, they just throw their hands in
the air and say, "Tough"...

What I am saying is, just because the user didn't request 60 gigabytes of
data, doesn't mean it wasn't sent through Telstra's network with a
destination of their modem....

I actually have a solution for that, it's called "The Protected Network",
and solves the issue once and for all. At least for those who use it... And
providing it wasn't valid data too!
