The term "media snacking" has become established in media studies,  
contrasting a browsing, channel-hopping behaviour with the kind of sit- 
down-and-watch-everything-on-Channel-Nine style of TV watching in the  
past.

As for "snack vid:, though, maybe the word you're looking for is  
"short film"? ;)
