One of my clients is a ENT surgical practise which has installed a  
MiniCAT scanner. It generates a 3D model of a patient's head in 40  
seconds. Cute. It writes out the data as a series of TIFF files which,  
yes, can by put onto a USB stick.

I'm also assuming that everyone in health is sensible enough to use  
the HL7 standard, which is an XML-based data format for everything  
from a CAT scan report to Ms Jones cancelling her 3pm appointment?
