There's a difference between getting the job and doing it.
Consider the reverse situation. Could someone with a CompSci or ElecEng
degree practice as a civil engineer?
My guess is no. Why is IT different? Not only that but why are IT people
paid more than engineers?
None of this is intended to be critical of John Grant, I do not know him
and make no comment as to his ability to do his current job.
