I understand from my sister-in-law who is an ambulance officer that the 000
staff who take the calls referred by the civilian Telstra operator are
usually Ambulance staff 'off-road' due to one reason or another. She did a
stint herself after she was 6months pregnant and deemed unfit to lug a
gurney.
