"Taking a stand" is over-stating it, but I am certainly critical of  
the article because it was factually incorrect about the location of  
the incident, it was sensationalistic in the way it exaggerated the  
impact of the switch-off, it was a shrilly-written rant and told us  
nothing that hasn't been said before.

Note that my issue is not with the sentiments behind the piece,  
necessarily, but with the crap article.
