[LINK] Inadequacies in Google Maps

What a let-down.

We recently discovered that a relation was 1st Officer on a vessel 
that sailed from Santa Rosalía, Baja California Sur, Mexico to Port 
Townsend WA (at the mouth of the sound north of Seattle) in 1908.

Would you believe that Google Maps is unable to compute any of the 
sea, road or walking distances from one to the other????

(It looks like about 2200 nautical miles).
