The Australian Institute of Training & Development (AITD) National
Conference starts today in Sydney at the Australian Technology Park:
I will be speaking 10:30am tomorrow on "Gadgets and more: Mobile
e-Learning Made Easy". My notes are at:

In this I suggest that while the gadgets have got cleverer, the people
using them have not. So we need to keep devices used for education
simple for teachers and students.
A wax tablet used by a student at Delphi two thousand years ago looks
much the same as a tablet computer of today. The ancient Antikythera
mechanism (used for computation) needed a user interface and "system
upgrades", as do systems used for education today.
