yeah, but most of them are using FOSS on the servers and STILL using MS
Windows on the desktops. and they're doing it because they think it's
too hard to get people to use a different desktop OS and apps, and they
think that mostly due to their own ignorance and fear of change but
partly because trendmongers and propagandists like Gartner tell them so.
and part of the reason why they're even using it on servers is because
it was installed by stealth by IT staff who just wanted their servers to
work. often management only became aware of it years after it was set up
(partly because of the First Rule of Systems Administration - your work
only ever gets noticed when something goes wrong)
