I remember reading about something like this in MAD magazine, when I was a kid.

They had a strip regarding what to do when politicians break their promises.

Things suggested included garniche of their salaries, making them use public
transport, having to live in a poor socioeconomic neighbourhood, having to 
publically apologise in the media, having to carry a placard around indicating
they are a liar etc.....

All good stuff and very practical....
