Flabbergasted. A strategic and independent move from Labor.

Perhaps they've received the message from the "Letter to Gillard"
and the upcoming demonstrations and the backlash in the sub-main
media.

But then again, perhaps our previous PM Kevin 07 is smarting from
yesterday's cablegate revelations about what a toadie he is in the
opinion of the American mission. Nothing like licking your wounds
and biting back at the same time to make for a good sleep :)

Recall that Canada simply said "Nope." when the call to war in iraq
was made in March 2003. Canada is still one of the USA's closest allies.
