I don't think that's what happened here - the TSA story fizzed on itself
when 'opt-out' day turned out to be a complete farce, with almost nobody
opting-out.
The media was doing their usual beat-up job based on a very small vocal
majority, but at the end of the day they made the mistake of backing
something that could be measured, and when it was measured, it turned out to
be an insignificantly small number of people that cared enough to opt-out.
Wikileaks certainly acted as a great distraction for the TSA stories, but
post the 24th of November there was no life left to be sucked out of that
story...
