The comments in the blog post indicate (speculate?) many times over that
Paypal does terminate without notice large throughput accounts that do
not leave some funds in the account as a float.

Apparently they make most of their money by very short term investment
of the total float they are currently holding. And I thought that the $0.33
fee for a $1.00 transaction was a good source of income! Admittedly, the
percentage take falls off rapidly with larger amounts. I recently sold a
pile of goodies on eBay and between that company and eBay, I lost about
15% of my takings. I am now considering cancelling both of those accounts.
There is e-commerce after Paypal.

cheers
