The flash version seems to be a recent 
innovation. The wonder wheel used to be 
an imagemap (which looked similar to 
what the Flash version presents now) but 
it had more circles indicating possibly 
related topics/sub-topics (eg for 
Annandale, linked circles of Annandale 
NSW.  This was circa 22nd June 2009.
