[LINK] Ebooks for government reports?

I talked on "Making e-Books for e-Learning on i-Pads" at a conference at 
ANU on Saturday:

Senator Lundy attended the event and tweeted in reply: "With so much 
govt information online, Tom's talk makes me wonder about the merit of 
publishing public info in ebook formats too".

Ebooks could be a good way to convince the Australian Government to use 
accessible and efficient web formats for reports instead of the poorly 
formatted PDF files used now.

The EPUB e-book format (used by the Apple iPad) is just web pages with 
some XML metadata in a Zip file. The ebook chapters could also be 
provided as accessible, smart phone compatible web pages.

I might teach making e-books to the ANU web design students this 
semester and see if it then diffuses into the government:
