With a growing band of compromised machines inside and outside the country,
there are some powerful options for the bad guys out there. Perhaps someone
could come up with the idea of protecting us from these attacks. Of building
a network which had controls built in. Ways to mitigate these sorts of
threats. They could even try and find the compromised machines these threats
come from or prevent them being infected in the first place, and prevent the
attacks before they start. Give people a choice, but provide that option.
Then the "Bad Guys" could play on their own and we could still access the
APH site through another address. We have proxying of WWW servers, Source
address based routing, advanced DNS controls, BGP routers, other border
controls, all sorts of really powerful tools at our disposal. Why not use
them!? But we _would_ need something first. A different environment to that
which exists at the moment...

Say, a "Protected Network"? :) Now where have I heard that before.....??
