At the end of the article is this little gem:

the cause of stomach ulcers for which a possible vaccine is being 
produced by a team of Slovenian students. The vaccine would treat 
ulcers caused by bacteria, not by a virus. "

Except two Australian scientists already did this. Stomach ulcers are 
caused by heliobacter pylori.

no bacterium can live in the human stomach as the stomach produced 
extensive amounts of acid which was similar in strength to the acid 
found in a car-battery. Marshall & Warren "re-wrote" the text-books 
with reference to what causes gastritis & gastric ulcers. In 
recognition of their very important discovery, they were Awarded the 
2005 Nobel Prize for Medicine & Physiology.
