There's a great little Aussie company in Melbourne that has a lot of trouble
getting government, local councils or corporates to pay more than lip
service to how their automated eWaste facility could be far better utilised.
You've really got to ask 'why?'. Is it because vested interests would
prefer to ship our eWaste to third world countries to be dumped than to
REALLY recover/recycle as PGM can do?

With the impending arrival of Digital TV,
the issue of E-Waste is the Elephant in the Room.
All levels of Government seem to have a policy of Producer
Responsibility. Though I believe what is required is
retailer responsibility - bring in your old TV to get a
discount on your new one.
