Hey all,

This is an article about iiNet and Michael Malone, Internode and Simon Hackett, the AFACT case, a little history of the internet in Australia.

I happen to know the author and she is interested in any feedback anyone has about the article. Send it to me and I will pass it on.

Recently she was also commissioned by AARNet to write a book about the history of the AARNet for the 20th Anniversary. It is an awesome book which has some great interviews with people like Geoff Huston and many others. I feel lucky to have a copy.

It is called 'AARNet - 20 years of the Internet in Australia' (ISBN: 978-0-646-52111-4) and here is a link to the release about the book - http://www.aarnet.edu.au/Article/NewsDetail.aspx?id=173

If you want to try to get a copy of the book, tell them so in this link. It has been available from December 09 as a limited release but if we encourage them they may have a wider release.
