With its low price and 6" screen, the Kobo is interesting, more in its
limits. It supports only ePub and PDF (plus Adobe DRM).

PDF is too limited for all but the most basic publications. I've never
found an open source ePub creator that works for me (yes, I've tried
calibre).
Most of the content I have is basic HTML 3.2. My simplest solution would
be a reader that supports that format, as many are said to (at a price).
To me, the iPad is interesting, mostly in its competition.
