It is a truth universally acknowledged that an IT company in possession 
of a significant market share must be in want of even more.

Experience shows that dominant IT companies do not get overtaken by a 
company selling similar products, but by companies selling to either a 
bigger market or a different market.

cf
IBM - Microsoft.
Microsoft - Apple (who sell hardware and content).
Microsoft - Google.
Booksellers - Amazon.
etc

IMHO, the issue is not that PCs will go away, it's about a bigger market 
emerging for other devices.
