This misses the point, though - to redefine an otherwise meaningful noun into a collection of meaningless action words ('flexible learning centre' must surely get a gong in the next Don Watson tome on doublespeak) is a sad indictment of the way some in our society speak about education.
'Write with nouns and verbs, not with adjectives and adverbs. The adjective hasn't been built that can pull a weak or inaccurate noun out of a tight place.' [Strunk and White,The Elements of Style]
