Schmidt is between a rock and a hard place. If his statement is correct 
then his company's system development processes are pretty rubbish.

A decent system development process would have picked up unintentional 
functionality and data storage.

So Google's either got rogue employees and suspect system development 
processes or its system development processes are OK and he is lying.

It's one or the other.
