Link people are generally clever, knowledgeable people.[1]

Noone has failed to understand you. You just failed to convince. An
argument may be perfectly clear, but still be considered inapplicable,
outweighed by other arguments or possibly just plain wrong. It's called
disagreement. The only cure is more and better arguments.
