Except they would never reprogram to not deliver output AV signals
to TV / monitor / amp.
Attempts at thwarting the recording of broadcast video and audio are
futile, since both the audio and video signals can be captured at
the point they are delivered to the (analogue) display device, be
it a TV monitor or audio amp.
Until we humans perceive encrypted digital signals, that is ;)
