I don't follow his logic, but I think his argument is:
"Because you aren't perfect, you can't criticise me"
So, option 3 :)

Next, I expect to see Conroy pick up his toys and go home in a huff.

I just wish there were someone to vote for. I hate only having lots of 
people to vote against :(
