Safari AdBlocker (v1.9.8.3) uses the default 'EasyPrivacy+EasyList' unless you specify otherwise. It updates subscriptions weekly, and checks for updates with an unknown frequency. It allows the whitelisting of whole sites, frames and/or indivdual elements, but I rarely bother.

When website designers deliberately or inadvertently include code that is blockable, it's not hard to script exceptions - I'm just to lazy to worry about it. If my personal web view is less than what others see, I am rarely disappointed.
