Non-virtual analogues exist as well.

Speed cameras automatically send an infringment notice to the registered
vehicle owner. She can sign a stat dec to transfer the infringment to
another driver if required.

The fact that a call was logged from suspect's phone to Xyz Supply
Shop does not conclusively prove that suspect made that call, unless
the content is grabbed, i.e. wiretapped under warrant in this case.

Even in cyberspace, if it can be shown that one's home wireless net
was left open to intruders, it becomes very difficult to prove who
exchanged what information and when.

Debra Jackson says she likes shopping at the Dollar Palace because it's
convenient and casual. "I don't have to get dressed up like I'm going
to Wal-mart or something," she said. -- spotted in a newspaper
