6 months ago.

Which followed the last time that we changed the backup arrangements.

The bad news is ... that's *usually* the last time I've tested them, 
and the gap between BU re-arrangemnts is measured in multiples of 
years.


Aside:  The good news is that I've only ever needed backups a couple 
of times in the 26 years since the original Mac came out - and each 
of those was to fix manual blunders I'd made, not because of 
equipment failure.

Apple is sliding downhill, but moreso in its philosophy and the 
software side than hardware.  Mind you, I haven't bought a new 
machine in 4 or 5 years, so maybe the hardware's sliding now as well 
...
