[LINK] Government Buying Google Ads for Murray-Darling Water Cuts

On my web site today I noticed a Google AdWords advertisement from the
Australian Government "Water for Our Future". Curiously the ad was on a
posting about government web standards, unrelated to water use:

The advertisement links to a Department of Sustainability, Environment,
Water, Population and Communities web page about the controversial
Murray-Darling Basin Authority report "Guide to the Basin Plan":
The report recommends cuts to irrigation water allocations:

There is an online form for providing feedback
<https://plancomment.mdba.gov.au/Submissions.aspx> and a Australian
Water Education Toolkit intended for schools
<http://www.environment.gov.au/water/education/index.html>.
Although giving only one side of the argument (cut water use), the
material is well presented, about the only lack is some form of online
forums where the issues could be discussed.

ps: Two of the towns which will be effected by the water plan are Leeton
and Griffith, which were designed by Walter Burley Griffin and Marion
Mahony Griffin.
