I emphasise the best of new technologies. The problem is a
lot of ICT is horrible and I also know of people who refuse
to ever again contemplate using the Internet at home.

In fact providing Community Internet Access also provides
other social and health benefits. Apparently, the Commsec
facility for clients in Martin Place is a huge hit amongst
Retiree traders. Much more lucrative than spending the day
at the Pokies.

The IPAD experience was just a few days ago - and this new
granny's first time access to the Internet!

Way back in 1997, Grannies were demanding daily photos of
grand children via the Internet and then there is Skype.

Noting Grannies can be as young as 36...there are some stats
here (I don't think the ABS asks are you a granny?):
