I'm not suggesting that a squad of Bangalorians are going to respond to your call, but rather that it could be done via phone numbers and codes/passwords. It would make it very suitable for temporary transfers (if you wanted to borrow a mate's phone to make calls with your account, then carry on as before).
Another advantage is that you could effectively use not only any device to be connected to a network, but be connected to multiple networks, or use multiple devices.

This is easily resolved. I imagine a scenario where dialling a number authorises any phone to make a call on your account (and not just an iPhone - any network device), and then dialling another number or code would remove that ability.
