Mmmm ...

Mainly because the various Wireless providers pushed it so hard ... 
themselves and in other forums.

Abbott was just ignorant, but tried to make a virtue of it. Other 
parties were a tad more mercenary in their approach.

Won't stop them trying to feed at the trough, but they're not likely 
to have a heap of political clout now.
